I’m a contemporary painter based in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan working between expressive abstraction and representational imagery.

There is a tension in my work between beauty and disorder. I want the paintings to feel unruly, lush, and imperfect. Through painting, I invite people to reconnect with wonder and the parts of themselves that feel most alive and untamed. I will often include cut paper and various materials in the various layers of my work. I am intuitive and materially interested in layers and texture. I experiment with timing the creation of paintings around celestial events, allowing astrology and natural cycles to take part in the process.

Intuition, time, and the highest quality materials go into each piece. I stretch my own canvases to sizes that are perfectly suited for key spaces in interiors, because my vision for the work is for it live along side you and become a part of your story.
